Before the show's launch, there was one particularly enthusiastic supporter. "This represents the dawn of a type of political shift," said veteran reporter John Solomon. His Just the News platform will publish the Truss's new broadcasts.

Building Connections in the Maga Media Ecosystem

Compatriot supporters, including a counselor supportive of Reform, have also helped her establish the Liz Truss Show. The setup is competent, if basic. Truss has amassed a subscriber base of 10k in her first week and her debut had sixty-seven thousand views in that timeframe.

This marks a modest start, but in aligning with Solomon, the former PM is being thrust into a mature conservative ecosystem generating and disseminating Make America Great Again themes. Its obsessions involve alleged censorship by the traditional news outlets and a desire to eradicate a shadowy government apparatus – which the ex-PM holds responsible for the swift end of her disastrous time in office.

"Just the News is not well-known beyond the Maga world, but it does have influence there, primarily thanks to Solomon, who gives commentary on pro-Trump shows like Bannon's 'War Room' podcast and has even interviewed Donald Trump," said an anthropology expert, who has extensively researched the Make America Great Again phenomenon.

A Controversial Partner

The former PM's foray to bring Maga media to Britain has drawn her nearer to divisive personalities such as Solomon.

He set up his media outlet in the wake of backlash after he was accused of circulating false stories about Biden's anti-corruption work in the Ukraine, as well as controversial stories about one-time diplomat to Ukraine.

His claims were amplified throughout the pro-Trump outlets, with the journalist serving as a frequent visitor on Sean Hannity's influential Fox News program. Donald Trump boosted Solomon's reporting.

Even though the former PM's unnatural presentation and career difficulties have drawn derision within the UK, a number of stateside commentators are taking seriously her bid to revamp her image as a local version of the pro-Trump media ecosystem.
